Go Cards!

Daddy and Jackosn playing around before the last UofL football game of the season (excluding the Orange Bowl, of course). Jackson loves wearing his jersey. He must know how handsome he looks in it.

Ridin' Along On My Automobile

Jackson is learning to ride on his little car, though he only goes backwards (silly little man). It also converts to a standing walker that he pushes. He's pretty good with a little assistance. He's getting to be such a big boy. I can barely believe my eyes some days!

Our Little Architect

We are slowly beginning to bring out toys handed down by Jackson's Uncle John. He really likes playing with his blocks. He's got true talent. Look what he made! (Just kidding.)

Hmmm. . .which piece should I use next?

Definitely this one. It's the yummiest!

Jackson Eats!

As we all know, Jackson likes to eat, and will put almost anything in his mouth that he can get his hands on. These are just a few of the most recent things he's managed to get ahold of.

The camera strap.

Babies, Babies, & More Babies

Within the past several months, there have been quite a few babies born to parents who work in Josh's division at The Army Corp. of Engineers. They range in age from 9 months to 4 weeks. We got them all together to take pictures before Thanksgiving. Aren't they all so cute?Natalie checkin' out Jackson, while he just plays it cool.

Way to go, Jackson! Natalie is quite a little cutie.

Look Who's Standing!

I can't believe it! Though he can't pull himself up yet, he can stand holding on to the coffee table. Now that he's discovered this ability, he wants to stand all the time. I'm sure he's going to be mobile before we know it.

What a strong boy!

Messy Eater

Usually, Jackson doesn't get too terribly messy when he eats, though there are always exceptions.

What were we thinking feeding Jackson chocolate pudding? Just kidding, it's just prunes.

He ended up with carrots all over his face, on his left ear, in his hair, and all over his tray. It looks like a pumpkin exploded in front of him!

Trick-or-Treating at The Zoo

We went trick-or-treating with some of our friends this weekend at the zoo. We had tons of fun! Jackson dressed up as Bouncin' Tigger, since Bouncin' Tigger is his favorite toy, and he loves to bounce. He looked absolutely too cute!

So happy to spend time with Daddy after he was gone in San Diego all week.

Eating Daddy's hair. Yummy!

6 Months!

I can't believe that Jackson is six months old! It absoultely blows my mind. At his well child visit he weighed 18 lbs. 5 oz (70th percentile), and was 26.25 in. long (50th percentile). They still think he's going to be a tall boy. I guess he's going to take after his Grandaddy (Swann), who is 6' 5". He is doing very well except for the cough and congestion he's been fighting for four and a half weeks now. His doctor thinks it's allergy related, and we're trying some new medicine. Hopefully it will work. Other than those two symptoms, he's as happy as can be; growing, laughing, and playing. He is sitting by himself, though we still put the Boppy around him when we're not right next to him, just in case he falls. He never ceases to amaze us!

I love this picture, because even though it seems like Jackson is getting so big, it captures how small he still is. It's so cute, I couldn't have gotten a better shot if I had posed them.

Huber's

We went to Huber's with our Sunday School class on October 15th. Unfortunately, Jackson was a little out of it that day, and could care less about anything that was going on around him. We still had a great time, and can't wait to take him back next year when he can enjoy more of the activities.

The Many Faces of Jackson

Jackson makes so many adorable expressions. I thought I'd share just a few.

Deer in the headlights?

"Hi everybody! How's it goin'?"

"Aren't I just too cute?"
or
"Daddy, you're so silly!"

"Hmmm. . . to poop or not to poop, that is the question."

Happy as can be.

Sunglasses

We have found that Jackson absoultely LOVES wearing sunglasses! Doesn't he look so cute wearing Mommy's sunglasses?

Here, Jackson is all ready to go shopping with Mommy & Daddy. Aunt Rachael bought these sunglasses for Jackson as soon as she found out we were having a boy, so he could look like Daddy.

Playtime!

Jackson loves to play with his Bouncing Tigger. He loves to bite his nose and watch him bounce.

Jackson checkin' himself out in his mirror. I would too if I were that cute. He's such a big boy sitting up by himself.

Playing with Mama. What a strong boy!

Just the boys. Jackson loves spending time with Daddy.

Yummy, Yummy, In My Tummy!

Jackson is such a great eater! So far, he's loved everything he's tried, except the first time he tried bananas. He made a face like he had just eaten something very sour, and made a gagging sound every so often. I think it was just because it was the first sweet food he'd ever eaten. He's been fine since then, though, and now loves bananas just as much as veggies.

Jackson eating peas, YUMMY!

U of L's Littlest Fan!

GO CARDS!!!
Jackson is a big U of L fan! Doesn't he look so adorable in his jersey? Even if you're a UK fan, you've got to agree that he looks pretty darn cute. Jackson loves cheering on the Cards, and hopes they make it to a bowl game this year (he really wants to go).

Jumping Jackson

Jackson LOVES jumping in his Johnny Jump Up, though Daddy calls it his "Jackson Jump Up"! I think he would jump all day if we let him. He especially likes to jump to music. They have something similar to this in the nursery at church, called a Jumperoo (though it's more stationary), which he also loves to jump in. In fact, he keeps all the other babies entertained.

Jackson loves to jump so much, that he jumps himself right to sleep. How cute!

Cherokee Park

Over the long Labor Day weekend, we went Cherokee Park. We had a lot of fun walking the trails and enjoying nature.

Jackson was a little out of it, since he had just woken up from a nap.

As you can tell, Jackson could care less that his picture is being taken.

Selena & Bekah

Jackson's friends, Selena & Bekah, came over last weekend to play. They had a great time hanging out and playing. I'm sure they'll have even more fun once Jackson gets a little bit bigger and can play more.

Jackson with Bekah & Selena. What a ladies' man!

Starting Solids

Jackson started on solids two weeks ago. First he started with rice cereal, which he thought was alright. This past week, we gave him sweet potatoes, which he absolutely loves! He can't get enough of them. He will be trying squash this evening for the first time, and carrots later in the week. He is such a great eater! Look Great-Grandpa, Jackson has a "soldier's bowl"!
