Our nephew (and Jackson's first cousin), Evan William Koontz, was born on January 25 at 8:09 in the morning. He weighed 6 lbs. 11 oz, and was 19.5 in. long. You can tell by the pictures, he's absolutely beautiful! Unfortunately, his lungs are not fully developed, and he is in the NICU. Hopefully he'll get to go home at the end of the week. I haven't been able to hold just yet, since he's hooked up to so many machines, but I can't wait to cuddle him. I am absolutely in love with him!

Christmas 2007
I thought it was about time to FINALLY post Christmas pictures. Thankfully, unlike last year, Jackson was healthy for Christmas. He was getting over Strep and a cold, but was quite the happy boy (AMEN!). He was certainly a lot more excited about opening his presents this year, though still needed some help. He would get so wrapped up playing with the toys he'd already opened, he would forget about all the others. I can't even begin to imagine how excited he'll be next year. Plus, we'll have baby Caleb too (not that he'll be very interested). We are so grateful for all the time we were able to spend with family for Christmas.
Let it Snow!
This past Monday, we got our first snow that actually stayed around long enough to play in. This was Jackson's first time playing in the snow! We bundled up and headed out right after breakfast. I wanted to wait until Josh got home from work, so he could enjoy this "first" moment too, but was afraid all the snow would be melted by then (and it was). We had lots of FUN!
Even with all the snow, he just wanted to push his mower around the block.
Silly boy!
Checking on the fish in pond.

Needless to say, Jackson was NOT happy about having to come inside.

Cool Whip Art!
One evening, Jackson and I got a little stir crazy. I had done shaving cream art with kids in my days as a camp counselor, and decided to use some left over Cool Whip to do Cool Whip art with Jackson. He wasn't so sure what to think of Mommy plopping a bunch of Cool Whip on the kitchen table at first, but got the hang of it pretty quickly. I must say it added a lot of fun to our night. Josh was certainly shocked when he saw the pictures. What can I say?
